The Festival of Lights at the Fatima Shrine in Lewiston has returned for the Christmas Season! Lights will be on from 5 pm to 9 pm according to the following schedule: Nov 27-Dec 17 & Jan 5-7 has Lights on Friday thru Sunday Only, and Dec 18-Jan 1 has Lights on Daily Mon-Sun. Come and enjoy this Christmas tradition!
Do you need help with gifts for your children and teens this Christmas? Catholic Charities is once again a participating nonprofit with the WNY Holiday Partnership, which provides Christmas gifts for families in need. Catholic Charities, in collaboration with the Ladies of Charity, is able to provide toys, books, games or puzzles, and a new pair of gloves and winter hat for children from ages 0-18. The program will begin after Thanksgiving. If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, or if you would like more information, call 716-218-1450, ext. 2003. The program is also accepting donations or new, unwrapped toys for infants and children; and new, unwrapped gifts suitable for teenagers, such as small denomination gift cards, fleece blankets, sports equipment (soccer balls, footballs, basketballs), perfume and cologne sets, hair styling tools, and movie tickets. Donations can be brought to Ladies of Charity, 1122 Broadway, Buffalo, Monday through Friday between 10 am – 2 pm.
